Abstract

The propagation equations of nonparaxial partially coherent flat-topped vortex hollow beam have been derived, and the nonparaxial propagation properties of beam are analyzed using the numerical examples. The results show that the nonparaxial partially coherent flat-topped vortex hollow beam will evolve into flat-topped beam as the propagation distance increases, and the far field results are the special case of the nonparaxial propagation. It is also found that the partially coherent flat-topped vortex hollow beam with smaller coherence length will lose its dark hollow centre more rapidly.
