Abstract

Results are presented for investigation of the physico-mechanical properties of clayey soils stabilized by injection of a cement-sand grout. Complex monitoring is proposed for processes involving stability of clayey bed soils over time with use of statistical, seismic, electrical, georadiolocation penetration, etc. Relationships between the change in strength and deformations characteristics of the clayey soils and the volume of grout injected are derived. Laws governing variation in geophysical parameters are established for the bed soil being stabilized over time. Recommendations are proposed for selection of stabilization parameters for clayey bed soils.
