Abstract

In the present work, we study how the rate of the dip coating onto glass from silica sols and sol compositions containing different concentrations of cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide influences the optical properties of the antireflective coatings; the maximum, minimum, and average light transmission values of the coated glass in the wavelength range of 400 to 800 nm and 350 to 1100 nm; the refractive index of the coatings; and the light wavelength corresponding to the maximum light transmission, as well as the optical and physical thickness of the films.
