Abstract

Pediatricians who provide sports physicals need to follow certain guidelines in order to minimize the risk of facing a medical-liability lawsuit. This month9s Pediatricians and the Law is the first half of a two-part article focusing on preparticipation sports physicals. This first installmant examines the different types of sports physicals, the advantages and disadvantages of each one, and ways to avoid liability when conducting them.
