Abstract
Propene oxidation and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by C3H6 have been studied over a series of hydrotalcite-based CuMg3Al2−xFex (x=0, 1, 2)-mixed oxide catalysts prepared by co-precipitation method. The solids were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The influences of transition metal content and of Cu/Fe ratio on the catalytic performance have been investigated. When copper species are the only active phase, a better NO conversion is obtained. The introduction of iron species into the structure reduced the activity toward SCR of NO but lowered the temperature of complete propene conversion.
