Abstract

A propagator matrix method for the calculation of acoustic plane waves reflected from an inhomogeneous, anisotropic, poroelastic seafloor is presented. The matrix is integrated using an implicit technique. The results are first compared with homogeneous, isotropic poroelastic cases reported by Stoll and Kan1 for verification. Computations are then extended to the inhomogeneous and anisotropic cases of which no prior solutions were available.
