Abstract
Elastic/piezoelectric and piezoelectric/piezoelectric interfaces are considered for SH wave propagation. The boundary conditions at the interfaces are satisfied to obtain the amplitude and energy ratios for the incidence of SH wave. These amplitude and energy ratios are computed numerically for particular model of interfaces, i.e., for Steel/PZT4 and PZT4/PZT-5H interfaces. The amplitude and energy ratios are also plotted against the angle of incidence. The numerical results are compared with those in absence of piezoelectric fields to observe the piezoelectric effects.
