Abstract
Results on antisymmetric wedge acoustic wave propagation in magnetostrictive ferrite are presented. The propagation velocity can be varied by changing the applied magnetic field. The strong dependence of the fundamental mode velocity on the magnetic field demonstrates the applicability of wedge waves in magnetostrictive ferrites for variable delay lines.
