Abstract

This paper is devoted to the study of the propagation dynamics for a class of spatially discrete multi-type SIS epidemic model with time period. Firstly, the abstract theory of spreading speed and travelling waves for monotonic periodic semiflows is applied to prove the existence of asymptotic spreading speed <i>c</i><sub>*</sub>. Secondly, by using the comparison principle, we obtain that the asymptotic spreading speed coincides with the minimal wave speed of monotone periodic traveling waves.
