Abstract

Ovarian reserve, reflected by serum anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) levels, declines with obesity. Obesity is associated with ↑ serum and follicular fluid leptin (L). We have recently shown that L/adiponectin ratio inversely correlates with AMH gene expression in granulosa cells (GC). Here we evaluate differential gene expression of AMH and its receptor (R) in human luteinized GC and effect of in vitro L treatment on the expression of these genes in cumulus (CC) granulosa cells.
