Abstract
The sorption kinetic of water in interpenetrated networks of polyelectrolytes was investigated by monitoring the variation of impedance in the time. It was found that, while the sensitivity is better for the low dielectric solvents and for sensors based on the polyelectrolyte with lower ion density, the rate of the sensing kinetic is faster for the solvents with high dielectric constant and for the sensors based on the polyelectrolyte with high ion density.
