Abstract

Many exotic hadron candidates have been identified among the XYZ particles observed at the B -factories and in pp collisions at Tevatron since 2003. Among these resonances, the first to be discovered was the X(3872), which has been identified by many authors with a D-mesons molecule. We test this hypothesis on the prompt production cross section as it is measured by CDF. The result of this test seems to challenge the molecular interpretation of this state.
