Abstract

The detection system for the prompt gamma-rays emitted from nuclear reaction has been constructed by the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) to analyze the reaction production rate. This system has a Compton suppression detector. The response function and the weighting function of this system are investigated. When the cross-section of 27 Al(p, ) reaction analyzed by using the proton resonance energy, the excitation state spin, and the resonance state widths was compared with that calculated by using the weighting function, the dierence was observed to be within 1 %.
