Abstract

Abstract A membrane reactor with the microporous ruthenium-dispersed alumina membrane is effective in promoting low temperature methane steam reforming. In the temperature range of 300–500 °C, the membrane reactor attained the methane conversion with a twice as large as the equilibrium value by the selective removal of hydrogen from the reaction system.
