Abstract
The next-generation library services platform helps the academic library alliance deepen the technical cooperation and innovate the cooperation mode. The platform has been widely used in Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum and The Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee. However, the relevant research and practice in China are still lacking. Based on the author’s learning and practical experience, this work analyzed the application of next-generation information technology (e.g., resource discovery system, cloud computing system, mobile library) in library services. As far as the author concerned, libraries can not only provide traditional literature services and information services, but also rely on the next-generation of information technology to provide multi-level knowledge services to meet the needs of users.
