Abstract

Glioma is the most common primary intracranial tumor. In the treatment for glioblastoma, taking part in clinical trial has been recommended as a priority option by many guidelines especially for recurred high-grade gliomas. As the development of research wards, research nurses emerge as the historic moment. In research program, research nurses play indispensable roles in plan formulation, ethical review, patients recruit, bed setting, risk management, quality control, test medicine management, biological sample management and patients follow-up. This article reviewed the concept, development status, roles in clinical trials and translation researches of research nurses according to related literatures at home and abroad as well as national policy so as to provide a reference for the development of research nurses throughout the country.
