Abstract

AbstractCare teams, an important structure at most institutions of higher education, coordinate the work of various units to intervene with students who are at risk of attrition, academic failure, and/or are experiencing socio‐emotional struggles. The authors provide various examples of how case management and Care Teamwork is structured in the small institution setting. Using their institutions as case studies, the authors provide examples of various collaborative structures that coordinate case management and support at‐risk students; and situate this work in the small institution setting, with particular attention to the expectations that these institutions and students’ families have for high touch student success efforts; and discuss ways in which technology supports and contributes to case management and Care Team work.
