Abstract

Faculty development workshops can be particularly effective if they address an issue or challenge faced by the faculty and present information literacy as part of an overall strategy for meeting that need. This article will discuss how Librarians at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), used this approach of capitalizing on faculty interests in an orientation workshop developed for the instructors of the entry-level Communications classes.
