Abstract

The John Tung Foundation in Taiwan pioneered a comprehensive, long-term program to revamp the elementary school food environment through regulating campus-packaged foods and beverages to support healthy eating in children. Program objectives included educating all stakeholders, assisting and monitoring food companies to develop and provide healthy campus foods, and advocating mandatory national nutrition policies.
