Abstract
Prominence of the inferior labial artery may suggest tumor to the examining medical or dental physician. Seven examples of this apparently unreported tumefaction have recently been observed. Attempted excision or removal of a specimen for biopsy without preparation for managing arterial bleeding could be embarrassing to the physician and a stressful experience for the patient. Diagnosis or recognition of the lesion is of practical importance but removal is usually not necessary.
