Research Article| January 01 2010 Prologue: From the Radical Center: The Heart of Gestalt Therapy Erving Polster, Ph.D.; Erving Polster, Ph.D. Erving Polster, Ph.D., is Director of the Gestalt Training Center – San Diego. He is also Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Author (or co-author with Miriam Polster) of five books, he is currently working on a volume about Life Focus Communities, which will include, among other themes, chapters on morality and identity and the poetry of God. She is co-author, with Erving Polster, of two seminal books in Gestalt therapy, and author of Eve's Daughters: The Forbidden Heroism of Women.
