Abstract

The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province of West Java make a limited community activity, due to policies the government recommends that people only carry out activities that are far from interaction, it is an impact on the economic downturn which resulted in a decrease of energy demand for electricity. This research discusses three conditions electricity demand scenario, in which the first scenario is the BAU (business as usual), This scenario where demand for electrical energy before the onset of Covid-19, then the Covid-19 and the vaccine scenario This research aims to obtain the projected value of electrical energy demand for each scenario. The results obtained by this research are the BAU growth scenario by 4.2%, which is in 2030 the demand for BAU electricity is 80,443 GWh, for the Covid-19 scenario and vaccines, the growth of electrical energy in 2020 has decreased by −2.5%. With different scenarios, the growth in demand for electrical energy in the Covid-19 scenario is 2.9% with a value of 70,019 GWh, and for the vaccine scenario, the growth in electricity demand is 3.2% with a value of 72,274 GWh, which is higher than the Covid-19 scenario.
