Abstract

We report doubly differential cross-section (DDCS) for proton impact ionization of helium at intermediate energies as a function of the scattering angle. The calculation is based on the Glauber approximation (GA). The effects of post collision interaction have been taken into account approximately. A comparison is made of the present DDCS with the results of other calculations and experiment. The angular distributions of the scattered projectile predicted by the present method are in reasonably good agreement with experiment.
