Abstract

The article considers the task of managing risks of projects and programs. As a rule, in practice, qualitative risk assessments are used for the probability of damage and the degree of influence. The most popular is a three-point scale (low, medium, high risk). Note that the project and program risk management methodology based on qualitative assessments, including the implementation of risk reduction and risk aversion strategies, in our opinion, is not sufficiently developed. The paper proposes an approach to determining the qualitative characteristics of risks, presents the objectives of risk reduction and risk aversion, and suggests methods for solving them.
