Abstract
The possibilities of using project technologies in teaching professional vocabulary in the course of a foreign language (English) for specific purposes (SPP) are considered in the article. The author presents the experience of organizing project activities for future police officers when studying the topic "Crime" and comes to the conclusion about the high potential of using project method for developing students' lexical competence.
