Abstract

To achieve long-term success, a company must be willing to change and continuously improve its competitiveness in all its functions. This is particularly the case because the quality perceptions of users also keep changing. Organizations are trying to implement projects such as continuous process improvement, total quality management, total productivity management, and so on to improve the quality of their products and services. Project management principles and techniques play a major role in the success of these efforts. The paper outlines project management principles, guidelines, and techniques for implementing continuous quality improvement. Some of the typical obstacles in implementing quality improvement are also discussed
