Abstract

In this work we identify important phases in managing enterprise integration projects as to obtain consensus for integration requirements, identify suitable integration solutions, and estimate the total cost of ownership with an integration project schedule. We propose an enterprise integration project management (EIPM) process where we identify the requirements of integration by modeling and analyzing the organizations' business process, obtain consensus by allowing collaborative planning through the Delphi technique, estimate the total cost of ownership for integration through software complexity metrics, and the resource requirements with a project plan from the work break down structure of specific integration technologies. We present a case study to demonstrate the capabilities of EIPM
