and may share similar demographic and clinical characteristics of AD. Unfortunately, there is no update information and uniformed data recruiting system to uniform these data. For these purposes, bring the different site together in a coordinated effort to use standard assessment methods to gather reliable clinical and neuropsychological data from individuals participating in research studies at each site were encouraged. In order to reach the goals, we have translated and administrate the Uniform Data Set (UDS) in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Taiwan to obtain the data in a uniform mannerto foster and support collaborative study.Methods: Individual components from the UDS were selected and translated into traditional Chinese, which included the demographic information for AD participants and their informant covers basic descriptive data, including the frequency and type of exposure of the informant to the participant. The family history for the AD participant focuses on dementing illnesses experienced by the participants’ first-degree relatives.Results: In total, 1107 patients diagnosed with AD were recruited in the study, 691 with mean age 79.3 6 7.7 years old at Taiwan, 244 with 72.1 6 8.7 at Beijing, and 172 with 80.1 6 7.4 at Hong Kong (p<0.001). The proportion of female was 64.5% with educational year 6.36 5.1 in Taiwan, 63.5% with11.56 4.6 in Beijing, and 72.7% with 80.16 7.4 in Hong Kong. For informants, the mean agewas 57.56 13.7 at Taiwan, 56.96 15.4 at Beijing, and 56.56 13.6 years-old at Hong Kong (p1⁄40.679). In Taiwan, 69.3% informants were lived with AD patients, 68.6% in Beijing, but 51.6% in Hong Kong (p<0.001). In the family history, 6.7% of patient’s mother has the diagnosis of dementia in Taiwan, 11.6% in Beijing, and 11.0% in Hong Kong. Similarly, 2.7% of patient’s father has the diagnosis of dementia in Taiwan, 4.8% in Beijing, and 2.3% in Hong Kong. Conclusions: Different areas have their characteristics of AD patients and informants although all people are Chinese. Although with limited sample size, the platform could be extened extensively in coming study.
