Abstract

Fatigue is a symptom that is often complained of by pregnant women in early pregnancy. The prevalence is quite high which causes pregnant women to experience several consequences, including feelings of depression, lack of energy, cognitive impairment, memory disorders, irritability, psychomotor dysfunction and decreased quality of life. This study aims to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on fatigue in pregnant women in the Community Health Centres (Puskesmas) Kahuripan City of Tasikmalaya. The research design uses a method quasi-experiment, with one group approaches pretest and a post-test group without a control group. Sampling with consecutive sampling technique, as many as 26 pregnant women. The statistical analysis used was univariate, bivariate using paired t-test to test differences in fatigue scores before and after progressive muscle relaxation exercises. Pregnant women are given progressive muscle relaxation exercises for at least four days for two weeks.
