Abstract

Introduction: Coronary artery calcium score (CACS) is a powerful tool to predict the risk of future cardiovascular events in asymptomatic individuals. Those with CACS of 0 have an extremely low annual event rate with a 10-year event rate of 1%. However, the warranty period and optimal interval for repeat CACS in this population is not well defined.
