Abstract

Cerebral microbleed (CMB) is one of the neuroimaging markers of cerebral small vessel disease (SVD). Multiple strictly lobar CMBs are thought to be caused by cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA). Mixed CMBs are thought to be due to hypertensive arteriopathy (HA), but it has also been pointed out that CAA may coexist. Here we examined changes in CMBs distribution over time in patients with cognitive impairment with multiple strictly lobar microbleeds.
