Abstract

Pleural effusions are frequently seen in clinics. Sometimes it is quite difficult to determine whether it is benign or malignant. Many methods and markers have been tried in the diagnosis of malignant pleural effusions, with different advantages and disadvantages. With the rapid development of molecular biology and laboratory technology, new markers and testing approaches are constantly emerging. Turner markers,containing tumor-associated antigen, tumor-associated protein and so on, have critical significance for the diagnosis of pleural effusions caused by lung cancer.
