Abstract

Background Breast cancer is a common malignancy of female patients and is treated mainly by surgery. Postoperative pain in patients treated for breast cancer has its own characteristics. The chronic pain can affects the patients' quality of life, and is urgently to be managed presently. Objective In order to provide references for prevention and treatment of postoperative pain in breast cancer patients, this paper aims to present the current studies on postoperative pain in breast cancer patients and its analgesia methods. Content This paper reviews the research progress of postoperative pain in breast cancer patients and of the analgesia methods. Trend Further discussions of the management of postoperative pain syndrome in breast cancer patients are needed to find an effective method to relief the pain.
