Abstract

Eagle-eye has the characteristics of large visual filed and high visual acuity, which can provide reference for visual information processing technology. Firstly, the differences between eagle-eye and other types of eyes are given, and the current progresses of eagle-eye are introduced. Then, the eagle-eye mechanisms are presented in detail, including the dual fovea, visual acuity, the logarithmic spiral movement of the eagle and eagle-eye visual attention mechanism. Some of the main application directions of biological eagle-eye vision technology are discussed, including interested target extraction, dynamic object tracking, large field cameras, high-resolution devices and automatic focusing. Finally, the new orientations of biological eagle-eye vision technology are discussed.
