Progress‐report in seismology for the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey and cooperating stations

Abstract

Collection of earthquake‐information—The United States Coast and Geodetic Survey and the Jesuit Seismological Association have continued the collection of earthquake‐information for their respective Jurisdictions. The Seismological Field‐Survey with headquarters at San Francisco in cooperation with Dr. Perry Byerly, University of California, has continued the collection of earthquake‐questionnaires for the Pacific Coast and the Western Mountain Region. This area will be much more effectively covered in the future through the appointment of collaborators in seismology, as follows: Dr. Harold E. Culver, Washington State College, for Washington; Dean E. L. Packard, Oregon State Agricultural College, for Oregon; Professor G. M. Butler, University of Arizona, for Arizona; Professor Y. P. Gianella, University of Nevada, for Nevada; Dr. Francis A. Thomson, Montana School of Mines, for Montana; and Professor Alfred F. Anderson, University of Idaho, for Idaho.
