Abstract
Chemotherapy is one of the most important treatments of malignant tumor. Mechanism of drug resistance and prediction to chemotherapy is always an hot issue in the oneology field. However,it is diffi-cult to identify chemotherapy resistance. DNA repair capacity is an important factor which can affect tumor re-sponse. Single nueleotide polymorphisms of DNA repair genes can change the repair capacity. The XRCCI gene plays a critical role in DNA repair. Polymorphism of XRCC1 gene may predict chemotherapy response and prog-nosis of malignant tumor. Key words: Drug resistance,neoplasm; Polymorphism,restriction fragment length; Prognosis
