Abstract
In 2015, American Thoracic Society/European Respiratory Society/Japanese Respiratory Society/Latin American Thoracic Association updated the evidence-based guideline on treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.There was no highly recommended medical treatment in this evidence-based guideline.Some medications such as pirfenidone, nintedanib, and antacid therapy were lowly recommended.Therefore, non-pharmacological therapy for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis need to pay attention to.This article reviews the non-pharmacological therapy such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, pulmonary rehabilitation, palliative care, and lung transplantation on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
