Abstract
The energy spectra and the production cross sections of gamma rays from the reactions induced by 14.9 MeV neutrons have been measured at five different angles. The experiments were carried out with a pulsed fast neutron time-of-flight facility and a high resolution Ge(Li) spectrometer. A Monte Carlo program has been developed for calculating the corrections of the neutron flux attenuation and gamma ray self-absorption in the large hollow cylindrical sample with a position correlation. The lifetimes of the levels extracted from the Doppler broadening of gamma ray spectra have been studied.
