Abstract

Progress in studies of ISAR at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) is described, including the observation model of radar imaging, simultaneous motion compensation and image formation, modified Doppler centroid tracking phase compensation, superresolution range Doppler imaging, and multiple moving target resolution and imaging. High quality images of aircraft were obtained using real data acquired in a series of field tests of an experimental ISAR. Also multiple moving target resolution is demonstrated using real data in the field test of a narrow band coherent radar for estimating the number of aircraft in formation flight.
