Abstract

Chloasma is a disorder of symmetrical distribution of excessive facial melanosis, which usually occurs in middle-aged female and can affect their quality of life. The pathogenesis of chloasma is affected by many factors, including ultraviolet radiation, endocrine disorders, hormone levels change and genetic factors, etc. The pathogenesis remains unclear due to its complexity. There are various treatment methods for chloasma, especially laser treatment, whose accuracy and selectivity are reported to be excellent. Here the authors review relevant research of laser treatment in chloasma. Key words: Chloasma; Influence factor; Laser therapy
