Progress in computational molecular biology

Abstract

The nature of biological research is changing rapidly, due in large part to the advent of technologies for rapid generation of significant molecular data and the introduction of sophisticated computational methods. In this progress report, I discuss recent work in computational biology, focusing on gene expression analysis, high throughput screening of pharmaceutical leads, and information extraction from the biomedical literature.
