Abstract

This book covers a number of the more or less significant advances in clinical pathology. The first subject deals with selected studies in toxicology. Numbers of emergency toxicologic procedures are outlined. A summary of physical and chemical properties of drugs is presented. A particularly useful segment is the presentation of continuous absorption spectra of a number of drugs. Bacterial food poisoning is also considered. The section on diagnostic virology provides a helpful approach to this burgeoning field of the clinical laboratory. Immunology of leukocytes introduces this field in some depth. In the next chapter is a discussion of immunology of platelets by the same authors. An appendix to the above two chapters (chapters 3 and 4) is devoted to techniques.
