Progress and Prospects of Regional Financial Arrangements and Cooperation: A Critical Survey

Abstract

This paper provides a brief survey for the progress and prospects of regional financial arrangements/cooperation among the East Asian nations and presents the summary of various conflicting points of discussion about the strategies on the establishment of an effective regional financial arrangement in the region. Several obstacles that need to be overcome for successful regional financial cooperation among the East Asian nations are identified along with various policy options.
