Abstract

Hypertension is one of health problem among teenagers and tends to higher risk of morbidity and mortality in adulthood. RAPH program was initiated as hypertension prevention and stands for Raise Awareness to Prevent Hypertension. This program aimed to increase knowledge and attitude related to hypertension prevention. Activities that has implemented were education and giving information related to hypertension prevention and raise awareness through lecture and discussion. This community service activities in the form of Information Communication and Education (IEC), include pre-test activities, material delivery, demonstrations and post-test activities. Participant in this activities was 35 students in SMKN 62 Jakarta. The level of student’s knowledge in the high category during the pre-test was 0 people (0%), while at the post-test increased to 28 people (80%). The activity runs smoothly, students was active asking the questions in the class and knowledge about hypertension prevention and management increased that can be observed by increasing post-test score.
