Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of traffic management. A review of existing software solutions for simulating traffic situations has been carried out, and several approaches to optimizing the operation of traffic lights have been described. The algorithms and features of the functioning of modern automated traffic control systems are described. A developed software model, its interface, functionality, and a device for studying various algorithms for traffic lights regulation at two intersections with four-way intersection are considered. A traffic light signal regulation algorithm developed by the authors is presented, which is a modification of the existing adaptive regulation algorithm. The article presents the traffic light regulation algorithm developed by the authors, which is a modification of the existing adaptive regulation algorithm. The structure and operation of this algorithm are described mathematically. The analysis and comparison of the presented algorithm with the existing control algorithms in terms of efficiency and time are carried out. Based on the results obtained, conclusions were made about the possibility of introducing the author’s algorithm considered in the article into a real process.
