Abstract

This article is peeling efforts to meet the needs of the family beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in the pandemic Covid-19 in Polewali Mandar. This study uses a type a qualitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted in September to November 2020 in the six villages, the three districts in Polewali Mandar. The research location is determined by purposive then the techniques of data collection are done by interview, observation and documentation. The Data were analysed qualitatively, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the impact of the pandemic Covid-19 hit sectors of the economy that have implications on the income and purchasing power of the poor, so that the government through the Family Hope Program provides social assistance to people less able to get social protection in an effort to meet the needs of the family are implemented properly in Polewali Mandar. In the implementation of social assistance through the Family Hope Program in the pandemic Covid-19, especially inPolewali Mandar experienced a lot of schemas changes adjustments of social assistance as an effort to fulfil people are less able. Thus, the great hope of the government through the help of social, community less able to meet the needs of the family in the pandemic Covid-19, not only then are consumptive and rely on government assistance.
