Abstract
Background: The present work focused on evaluating thesystemic immune-inflammation index (SII) for its role in predicting endometrial cancer (EC) patient prognosis by meta-analysis. Methods: SII's role in predicting theprognosis of EC patients was analyzed by calculating combined hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% CIs. Results: As revealed by combined analysis, an increased SII predicted poor overall survival(HR=2.01; 95%CI=1.58-2.57; p<0.001) as well as inferior progression-free survival(HR=1.87; 95%CI=1.36-2.58; p<0.001) of EC. Conclusion: An increased SII score significantly predicted poor overall survival and progression-free survival in subjects with EC. The SII is suitable for predicting short- and long-term prognoses of patients with EC.
