Abstract

Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) describes women of reproductive age whose response to ovarian stimulation or fecundity is reduced as compared to women of similar age group. Lower anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) level has been associated with, but not necessarily predict, poor responses to ovarian stimulation, poor embryo quality, an poor pregnancy outcome in IVF. However, there are no useful threshold for critical clinical decision making. Studies have shown that lower AMH in combination with advanced maternal age indicates poor IVF outcome.
