Abstract

Objective To investigate the prognostic risk factors of patients with autoimmune hepatitis related hepatic carcinoma(AIH-HCC). Methods A total of 85 patients with autoimmune hepatitis related hepatic carcinoma from November 2011 to June 2013 were selected. The clinical data including sex, age, scores of IAIHG, cancer type, blood transfusion history, level of AFP, number and diameter of tumor, therapeutic methods were retrospectively analyzed. Regular follow-up was made, and the prognostic data including smoking history, drinking history, survival time and causes of death of were observed. Results Single factor regression analysis showed: level of AFP, number and diameter of tumor, therapeutic methods were correlated with the prognosis of patients with AIH-HCC. For patients with hepatocellular carcinoma with low level of AFP, small tumor size, small tumor diameter and the treatment of patients with autoimmune hepatitis, the survival rate and the one year survival rate were significantly higher(P=0.043, 0.045, 0.031, 0.028). Gender, age, IAIHG score, tumor classification, history of blood transfusion, drinking history, smoking history had no significant effect on the prognosis of the patients(P>0.05). Multi-factor regression analysis showed: the level of AFP and number of tumor was the independent risk factors of prognosis of patients with AIH-HCC. Conclusions The risk factors of prognosis of patients with AIH-HCC include level of AFP and number of tumor. Monitoring the level of AFP and number of tumor of patients with AIH-HCC is helpful for the diagnosis and treatment of AIH-HCC. Key words: Autoimmune hepatitis; Hepatic carcinoma; Prognosis
