Abstract
Background: In Japan, 13.3% of the population is aged 75 or over, and approximately 553,000 patients 80 years of age or older are transported by ambulance for cardiac arrest each year. Although the healthy life expectancy has been prolonged in recent years, the potential for resuscitation of elderly people is not clear, and the physical background before onset varies between individuals. The purpose of this study is to propose a prognostic prediction model of cardiac arrest in elderly people that is useful in the clinical setting.
